Notice that they removed the hood catch assembly. It must have interfered with the hood when closed. I don’t believe Yenko would have left that structure out.

I have seen the holes in the core support to hold plugs for "racing" numerous times over the years. It would not be something a dealership would do as typical, unless of course someone asked and paid for it.

Correct me if I am wrong….the Yenko crest emblem did not come available until 1968 ? If true …67 Yenkos delivered in 1967 would not have received the emblems.

Thanks Pete, the Parks car was built 20 units after mine. The Parks 4K is 7N230891 and my 4K is 7N230691.
I’ve always wanted more info on the Parks Yenko. The best info I’ve got is seeing the underside of the stinger hood . Now I wonder if it’s the original hood installed at Yenko.

Just spoke to Parks. That hood was on the car when he bought it in 82. He bought the car from a VW dealership in Madison Wi. It had no emblems and he bought some, chromed them and painted them. He is going to look for a old Polaroid pic a prior owner gave him when it had side pipes on it. He was also friends with the owner of 703, a white car that also had no emblems.

Here is the pic from April 79. Vince Emme told Jim that was the hood that came on the car and same hood on 703.
