Maybe the buyer will share info on here or 1-2 of the other relevant sites. How many hidden VINs are on the cars?

Thanks, I'd love to hear this all pans out. I've read there are 1138 '67 L78 Camaros, and maybe 250 have been verified?

I would be interested in seeing the outcome. Hopefully it's a real 4K car and the new owner's into it cheap enough to make the resto and VIN replacement worthwhile.

I hope we hear what happens too. A six banger VIN on and L78 body would have me thinking that the L78 was stolen or recovered with no VIN, so the 6 banger VIN made registration easy...but who knows!

Regardless, it would be impossible to restore that car and not be upside down, so I'm not sure it would be worth the hassle to deal with the VIN problem.

I never did find pics of it. Was it a complete car with L78 included ?

I'd love to see the pics of this car.

Zedder, if the car was not super rough and sold for $9800, and the purchaser looked at the hidden vins and they jibed with the trim tag, I might have considered buying it, it's still a '67 Camaro regardless of the issues and rollers are going for strong $ right now.

Historically, 67 L78’s haven’t brought great money. If you look at the red one that I posted under members rides…I can buy that for $48,000 with no rust and completely original drivetrain.

George’s L78 blue on blue Conv sold for 250,000 plus. That was was the best of all time though.
