----As a big corporation I would think that Goodyear could use Cooper as a source for updated original looking tires for older vehicles, and be really strong competition for Coker. Wonder what Rusty has heard in regard to this info?......Bill S

Mitchell in had a few nice 15” tires, but I bet their all DISCO’d. Black wall too.
If Goodyear just gets rid of uncle cooper itll be a win.

I’ve heard good things about Diamond Back Tires. They customize sidewalls, and looks like they now offer their own radials, with some impressive looking tread patterns and shoulder designs: https://dbtires.com/product-category/tires/type/smooth/

And I should say, to tie it back in to the original thread, I was thinking of going with the DB tires as smooth sidewalls and label them myself as Goodyears, but if Goodyear themselves can make a classic looking radial with the grip of the Coopers then that would be ideal

I love the coopers, they are half the price of BFG radial TAs. and they look fantastic.

Looks like Goodyear did not agree with the previous Cooper position on the potential liability. The equity value of Cooper is estimated at $2.8 billion for the purchase.
