I was concerned about it beyond restorable, or just a cowl with tags. I almost went for it, but seller could not provide pics.

With an attempt to uncover some researchable material on the plum car, I found a championship drag racer out of Portsmouth, Ohio named Gordon Collett. This is most likely the sponsor of this plum Z. There were numerous Winternationals and other National event wins featuring Gordon Collett of Portsmouth. Hopefully the new owner of this Z hull can get a clue or lead in this direction!

Gordon Collett raced a top gas dragster back in the 60s. He was a championship winning owner/driver and owned the class for awhile.
Is that a dent at the front of the drivers door in the enlarged photo?

The picture of the trim tag rivoted on the aluminum plate. If the color code is nantucket blue that had a cowl plenum at one time on it that car was sold out of allentown Pa. Was offered the car and i didnt buy it. Real car.

That's not the cowl tag from the car that the guy had a small cowl section w the hidden serial numbers and the cowl tag and, VIN and complete drivetrain a few years ago , is it? He offered to me a few times.
