If anyone knows the sentiments of LS6 market, it is Rick Nelson. He has probably been associated with more transactions surrounding the restorations/sales/searches of these cars than ANYONE!

Oh, I believe him completely. That's why I'm shocked. I personally like MT, but I'm apparently in the minority.

You, me and a few others Tony. Buyers all seem to want Black, Red, Blue or Silver. If I had a nickel for every person that went "yuck" when I told them I was restoring a Misty Turquoise Chevelle. That is until they saw it in person, then they accepted it but still did not want to own one. I would take MT in a heartbeat over Red or Black. No offense to those owners.

I love that turquoise color! That is amazing and much better than any plain old red, black, or blue.

I've owned my share of 68-70 B-body Mopars. In fact, I've owned my share and about ten other people's share, but of all the dozens of those cars that have passed through my hands, I think my Q5 Turquoise 69 Charger R/T was hands-down the prettiest. White top, white gut, white stripe. Black is generally my number one choice on high-performance stuff, but I love those colors on the "turquoise" end of the chart.

So, I searched Misty Turquoise and it appears so different in the pics that cam up. Is it the more blue or the more green color? Would love to see pics of the LS6 in question here.

Thank you for the compliments Sam but I am just a little fish in the big pond. There are a lot of people more knowledgeable than I am, I just have a complete passion for these cars and try to learn something new every day. A lot of what I learned in the early years was thanks to Brian Edwards, Jerry Skidmore and Chris White in addition to LOTS of research since 1982. Credit where credit is due.

Misty Turquoise is very hard to photograph and show the exact colors. Attached I have a before and after shot of the LS6 convert. They are the exact same color thanks to Tom Scholtz but look completely different in the photos. The before shot is more accurate due to the lighting.

Welcome Ryan
Is your Dad Scott?..If so I haven't talked to him for almost 20 years now.
I know your car well & have a ton of notes on it.I recall an Onion farmer bought this car new from LUBY,and had a small mishap with it affecting the paint. Also, this car didn't come originally with a Vinyl top from the factory, and was added later on.
I have a few older pictures,(they look much lighter on here then in person) saved from when I looked at it,as well as copies of the original paper work too.I can post copies of the buildsheet & window sticker for you,(both either with or w/o the VIN # shown for privacy issues),if you want me to.
Great Misty T LS-6 and wish you the best of luck @ auction. You should do very well.

Rick

Thank you Rick. Scott is my father and yes the car was found on an onion Farm. The car is going on auction on May 28th in Denver at the National western complex. Maybe we'll see you there.
