WE FOUND IT!

I just got off the phone with the current owner, it's been off the road for several years and he will consider selling it!

Thanks Kurt & SYC!!!

It's something about this site and Camaros. I believe it was around 24 hours from my post to finding dad's car. Good luck on bringing it back home!!!

Thanks everyone....it was fun helping locate the car. Hats off to Pete as he had his hand in this too.

Now....lets hope the current owner is willing to sell it back to Chris.

It just shows the passion, the knowledge, the skill and the commitment of this great website......well done Kurt, Pete and Chris.

I predict Chris will have his Camaro back within six months

Thanks guys, I doubt it will be 6 days but it will definitely be less than 6 months. He's willing to sell it and that's all I needed to hear. He's supposed to be taking some pictures for me over the next couple of days and then Pete & Kurt will be going over to check it out and assess it for me. It's still original paint & failing so it will need a full repaint and the interior is out of it and has been for a while - stalled project which works in my favor.

I know I'm at a disadvantage due to the emotional attachment but I don't expect it will sell for more than it could be replaced for. If push comes to shove I could always trade him my 97 Firehawk - That's an offer I don't think too many guys would have to think long about.

Check out the delete plate that was in my NOS stash!
