The 66-67 being called a 2nd gen is logical to me, but that is only an opinion. I don't ever recall them being called that prior to the internet/SNS. Does anyone have any popular car magazines pre 1995 which referred to those Novas as 2nd gen?

If there were called 2nd gen back then, when did it start? I doubt it was called that in 1966.

Personally.... 1962-1967, 1968-1974, and 1975-1979 are the generations.

The Novas grouped above all shared interchangable drive line components regardless of their body design.

Chevelle 1964-1967, 1968-1972, followed by 1973-1977.

Camaro 1967-1969, 1970-1981, etc.

Impala 1958-1964, 1965-1967, etc
