And of course, there is this one:

"Chevy didn't make a 302. That's a Ford motor."

Or, when you are ordering something like a front wheel bearing:

"Does it have Air Conditioning?"

I think they were trained by the postal service.

Yesterday, I go to the post office because I have not received my Burroughs guage tester purchased on ebay. I click on the tracking number and it says it is in Oklahoma City (since Feb 16) but is stil "in transit". I live in an OKC suburb. So, I give the very helpful gentleman at the p.o. the tracking number. He disappears for about 10 minutes. Comes back and tells me the tracking number has been archived and they are trying to retrieve it from the archives. Mind you, I just clicked on the tracking number less than an hour prior and it gives me the info on my computer. How does that happen if it is archived?

So, he tells me that the main p.o. in OKC had a "spill" sometime in mid Feb. so my item might have an unreadable lable and gives me the form to fill out to see if they can find it. They want the full name, address and phone number of the shipper. They also want a picture of the item. I go back to the office and click on the tracking number. The "archived" tracking number still tells me it is in OKC.

Gave them everything they asked for, plus a print out of the info provided by their tracking number.

Yes they ship direct to you. It is now where I buy all my reproduction gas tanks from as they are by far less expensive than anywhere else. Yes there is a freight charge but since they are close it is minimal for me.

Another thumbs-up for Rock Auto. If you call them there is actually someone on the other end of the phone that has a clue, instead of a kid that worked at a burger joint the week before he/she became an "Auto parts pro".

RA also has good prices.
