We were running EMS calls with snowmobiles. Visibility was so bad that the state, and county trucks were running in the ditch. One sled ran up over a big drift that actually had a car under it. Lotta folks pitched in today, and we had some big farm snowblowers in town so we're looking pretty good tonight other than a city plow truck with a fried tranny.
Big city mayors might be a pretty prestigeous job. Small town gets you 12 hours on a tractor pushing snow.
Come on spring

Too funny and Cumby can verify, the HIGH temp in our house is kept at 58 degrees. At $600-900 per month in Propane you learn to conserve!

Thankfully we were not very busy during the storm. We only had one call for a 2 month old with breathing dificulties. It took over 1/2 hr just to get the ambulance there after commandeering a passing plow truck to lead the way though I was not able to get out of my driveway to help. Took over 1/2 the day to snowblow the 900' driveway only to get to the road and see they had yet to plow our County Road. Tonight at 7:00 PM I finally got out and headed for the shop. Just as I pulled into the parking lot the pager went off for a heart attack across the street at the bar/grill. So much for getting any work done but at least the patient was ok.

hey Rick, sounds like your squad is doing a great job too. Hats off to you and your group for your services. We had two of our sons up on Rt. 78 with the Guard for a day/nite watch and wait deal too. All you people are greatly appreciated.
