I think it might be the 104k, if you note the dash has been changed so it might be that too. The car has a '72 dash bezel - note the seat belt warning light.

Correct, the reserve was $40k. My last conversation with the seller was that the general value for a car in this condition was $50-$75k. The high end gets knocked down a bit bec/ of the NM engine, and unknown about the trans & rear. Also, the color is a factor for some. The body looks very nice, the floors look good, bumpers appear to be in good shape, etc... Some high dollar items are mia; shifter & rubber mat - but both can be found reasonably with some swap meet / junk yard searching.

11 bids and at $40,000, with 7 days to go, looks like it will fall within the 50-75 range you stated.

Of course, who would doubt you and your insight regarding Yenko Deuces?

Neat that the banker is going to let the auction run its course rather then end it early. By already meeting reserve, a smart move.

The more I look at the pictures of the car, and paperwork, the cooler it becomes.

IMO, this would be a good car to leave as is for now, do some racing at the SCR then display it at MCACN.

I studied the photos a bit more, some minor items to note:

1. Steering column might have been hacked on - look carefully.
2. Has a fender mounted radio antenna
3. I don't see any E-brake stuff
4. SB trans crossmember
5. Scattershield instead of the requisite 621

Nothing major on any of these items, just noting them.

I noticed on the vintage photo that the left side of the trunk lid has what appears to be a dealer emblem (Mancuso? ). No rear sway bar.

Who ever buys it may indeed get a immediate invite to be the Gobi representative in the deuce color display at the MCACN this fall. I have one on the line, but not a for sure.

Let me add, until the gentleman who has possession of this car can answer the question as to if the trans is original, and the rear is the correct CBW, I don't think it will, or should move much. The CBW is a deuce/COPO Canadian piece only. It should add, or subtract 10-15k from the value of the car if not more. Come on guys. You got it on the lift, It's no big deal to check that axle tube for the stamp, and if the VIN on the trans matches the car.
And, I think the frt ends been off not that it matters. Note that the bumper filler panel is painted body color, not argent. It looks ok, but ain't no virgin. FWIW

My belief ref the rear - as im hearing, if the rear is NOT orig to the car, then finding an orig Deuce rear is next to impossible. As i shared with Marlin, usually you can find a COPO BE rear for sale and at the end of the day for a correct one, inside and out - you will have 14-15K into it. BUT, you can find them!

As for the Deuce Rear, I'm not seeing them available anywhere for a long long time and for a few people that may have a spare rear - 15K will not get you one.....so having said all the above -without the rear, the car should be at least 15K or more LESS than a car with an original rear.

JMO from a Camaro GUY :-) with a BE rear!!
