Too far for me... ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Darren's house is probably closer to the judging field than the Pheasant Run Hotel building. Are you running a bed & breakfast this year? |

I was not able to make show but was able to get my car to the survivor show. Car did great. Nothing but great praise for car. Won a freeze frame award. Just missed top award because of a few missing original parts, but over all car was a hit. Most of the people could not get over how original the car was and the color combo.

Rob, I talked to your dad and your brother yesterday, and I was wondering, what was the date that your Nova was first registered? YHB plates and a 03C build date. There were some people on camaros.net or chevelles.com trying to figure what black plate prefixes were correct for what month cars now that California is going to allow black plates to be registered as YOM plates..... finally. I also noticed Dru's sYc member license plate frame on his Camaro convert, but he was no where around at the time I was checking his car out. It was worth the 2 1/2 hour drive to see some of the quality survivior cars, especially the 9700 mile 63 Bonneville, at least four of the Novas, the 68 Chevelle SS396, the Shelby Mustang and many others. There must have been at least 100 cars in the show. Not bad for only the second year of having a show for "steel" survivior cars.

The car was ordered in late 68 and I think he got the car in late april or early may of 69. I also have a plain jane grandma nova I bought from the original owner from California.. She bought it and registered it in oct. of 69 and the car has the blue plates 781 aef. She told me she was one of the first in here town to get the blue plates on a new car. I guess it was when they statred to phase out the black plates.
