So I have 17 extra days in my MCACN preparations schedule.... and everything takes me 9 times longer than expected.... so I am working daily and trying to keep up to my schedule....

Today I almost made it.... raced after work with packing materials and mailed my wiper motor off to Chicago for rebuild/resto.

Media blasted and matt cleared fasteners for the front clip that had been oversprayed so Evaporust wouldn’t have worked.

Cleaned the back side of the front fenders.... mostly....it got so dark I wasn’t making any progress.... they are nice!!! One of them has a production line number on the back.... what does it mean?

W30797

I have seen several with a W31 on the back as the OAI has many different parts.

Hmm....

My brother came over to help tonight!!

4 Hands are better than 2!!!! Thanks Adam Weaver for your help tonight this was a real milestone!!! It looks like a car again!!! The fenders seemed to want to line up, with no shims and half the bolts in they are within 1/4” of where they need to be, and we put the trunk lid on just because we could 🙂

Terry arrived this morning and we took the car for exhaust, they wanted the tank in place to ensure there are no interference. Terry convinced me to grab all the gas tank items and have it bolted in.... why not?

One more item off the list!!!

Exhaust is going well too.

Thanks guys!!!

I have a visit to the interior shop after work planned to drop off pieces I forgot :-(

Also I will try to install the steering shaft and rag joint to make it move easier.

I love every aspect of restoration and am having a great time and the monster deadline is pushing me hard!!!

The interior shop plans to complete my work straight ahead so I can get the car back and so he can get a pusher without steering out of his shop (works for me)
