It's none of my damn business. I'm just pointing out the hypocrites on this site that rip everyone else but not themselves or other members of this site. I could not let this hypocrisy slide.

Moderators. This will be me last post and I would prefer to be banned please of my own free will and choosing

" Do as I say not as I do" ought to be this sites new slogan.

Will this be kept?

[/ QUOTE ]

That's too bad...as you had a lot to offer...especially on the day 2 information.

I "flipped" cars (or what we here up north call "curbing"), to put myself through collage. So i guess im evil!!!. I don't see why people care, i bought it with my money and a buyer bought it with his, why would anybody else care. If i wanted to buy an original yenko and crush it it's my car to do what i want with it, although ethically wrong it's still my car. If someone wanted to give me a bag full of money not to do that am i a good capitalist or a flipper?

Whoa......again, calm down everyone. This should be a civil conversation. There is no need for any banishment talk....whether voluntary or not. Can we ever discuss something without killing each other?

Phil, I am not the one that made this personal.

I sit back and ask myself, why do we worry about some other sites bad mouthing us, starting fights and costing us members? We seem to be doing a pretty good job of it ourselves. It is time that people realize that we are all entitled to our own opinions without being chastized for voicing them. If we were all sitting around a circle at a car show with beers in hand, many of these conversations would be shrugged off as men being boys and arguing for the sake of an argument. Anyone remember doing just that at Christmas time with our dads and uncles in the living room over eggnog? It is not likely that any of us would be asked to leave the circle because we don't all agree on who we voted for the president.

I think some of the other sites are succeeding in doing what they had hoped would happen and they never had to do anything but sit back and watch us self distruct. We did it all on our own and look like fools in the end. Does anyone here agree that it is ABOUT TIME that we all get back to the hobby and allow people to voice their opinions without being hung out to dry and talk about the real reason we are all here? There are always going to be some that are just looking for a fight but for the most part, people are just adding their thoughts to the topic. I know many people that are afraid to voice anything on here for fear of not being accepted. I know that is one reason I seldom offer one.

Rick, I agree. We are all adults here. If there are people on this site and other sites that say something that's out of line...shouldn't it just be ignored...or taken off line? I know of a few people who love to stir people up by their comments...I guess that's just their nature. A few of them have been banned here (and elsewhere)for doing just that.

Funny thing is, when you meet these same people in person, they aren't anything like their "portrayal" on the net. I think that when someone can sit anonymously behind a keyboard...they figure they have no accountability for what they say.

I, for one, just love the musclecars...and the people that I've met because of my (and their) passion for the cars. I wouldn't trade the friendships that I've made here for anything.

Just my 3 cents...

If by "taken off line" you mean one on one with a PM, I agree. But I don't agree if you mean a post deleted. I am pretty sure you meant the former though.

That's exactly what I meant Private messaging is/can be a great thing...no need to air "the dirty laundry". I made a fairly rude post directed at Rick H. a few days ago...and realized that I was an idiot for doing so...so I PM'ed him and also apologized on the site.

BTW, I met Kim (for a very short time at SCR8). He is a stand up guy...though I think he was sitting down

Or even more likely that since a person cannot pass along emotions, laughter, ribbing, teasing, etc through a key stroke, many of us assume the worst when we read something. How many of us have received an e-mail and popped a cork only to find out the author in no way meant it to sound the way it day. My one and only point here is that people really need to sit back and relax a little. After 911 we were all friends and helped each and everyone regarless of race, color or religion. Now we all seem to look for any reason to act like a tough guy behind a key board instead of trying to help each other. I know that was the reason I joined several years ago. Now more often then not, I am told that I am passing along information that should be kept private instead of being told thanks for the help or that I am acting like some sort of expert.

I think it is time for a car show so we can all act like who we really are in public and drink a few beers together. There is no point in flexing my muscles (don't have much ) so I just have to rely on good old natured friendship. Maybe more should try it.
