I &quot;assume&quot; the radio must have been standard equipment on an Oldsmobile? The car has a radio:-) and a front antenna.

Did you ask the OO this question? Perhaps he did have it installed at a later time....and forgot to tell you? I`m sure you will be talking with him.

Very Cool Ryan

Dan </div></div>

How did you know? I am meeting him today, I have it on my list of questions:-)

It just keeps getting better and better Ryan!
The 7 imported can't refer just to Vin prefix Model 36779 being there was obviously more '69 Canadian Cutlass V8 Club Coupe Post cars also not W31's alone either as the # of Canadian W31's is higher when including Hardtops so must refer to Canadian V8 Post cars equipped w/ W31?
That makes the next question, does this indicate 7 Canadian 36779 Cutlass Club Coupes w/ W31 alone or including W31 equipped Model 32779 F85 V8 Club Coupes too?

I discussed this with George at VVS, George said that we made these cars (Oldsmobile) in Oshawa as well as the US so the bulk of the cars sold in Canada were made in Canada. The number 7 is only an indicator of THE BODY STYLE imported he has no breakdown by option codes, so he doesn't know how many of the 7 were W31 cars. But the 7 were &quot;Model Number: 33677 Cutlass 'S' 2dr Club Coupe&quot; as the W31 cars were only assembled in Lansing MI it would stand to reason a high number of the 7 would have been W31 cars.....but that is an assumption..........

I also asked another question to try to find out how many of the 7 were W31 cars:
Ryan &quot;Is there a way to find out how many of the other 7 sold in Canada were high horsepower cars/W-Machines? George: &quot;not without a VIN number&quot;

To my knowledge the 7 would not include F85 Club Coupes.

I'd say the talk with the original owner will answer a lot of questions, especially the radio. My '69 W-31 is similar to Ryan's car in several ways and was ordered without the radio and corresponding equipment. There is a continuing debate over the term &quot;radio delete&quot; as these cars had NO radio as standard equipment. The first owner of my car (sold in Feb. '71 after it's racing days) wanted a radio, so an Am was installed along with an antenna. Yes, they drilled the hole in the fender WAY back in 1971.....funny thing about mine?!? the owner's name is written on the radio!
I can believe Ryan's car could have come without a radio, if it, too was intended to race.

Al and I had a great visit after work today!

We transferred the ownership at the MTO, and I was able to keep the ownership document from Feb 2nd 1973, I was also able to pay tax on her:-)

I purchased the used car package, which is like an Ontario ownership history.....it has Al's name on it.....exciting history eh!!!

We talked about the radio, he doesn't remember anything specific about it other than it may have been a little bit of an issue....but on the original bill of sale from (Ayr) County Garage it shows W63 Radio $88.60, and (no RPO code) Rear antenna $10.90 The antenna is on the right passenger front fender?
Al said they may have given him a case of beer for whatever mistake was made, but he just wanted his fast car as soon as possible.

another discrepancy i need to iron our is the rear end gears, Al says they are 3.91:1 and the BOS says G80 3.91:1 ratio, positration, $49.10 the GM VVS docs say G80 positration, and G92 3.42 ratio heavy duty...........TBD

Al and I then went to Tim Hortons and had a great chat, for about an hour......the car was not even mentioned once:-) Kids, grandkids, work, family, you name it.
