I talked to Tom at SCR6 and he told me he was still working on the second issue. He photographed several cars there and I can expect a writeup on SCR6.

"Talked to Tom last week,he assured me all is well" Of course it is he has our money!!! I am speaking for knowone but myself and I am truely disappointed.I do not feel misled as I see no where on the 1st issue where we are promised a monthly issue or a hint of when there will be a second one.
I purchased a second one off ebay this summer for around $8.00 if I remember correct and it's the same exact issue I paid several times that for months before it came out! Why??
I guess the cover does say Premier Collectors Edition ,,sounds about right it might be the only one!
If he was still taking pic's at SCR 6 for the second issue thats a bad sign as to when we will receive it.
Im a small business man and I see this approach nowhere in the pages of starting a new business 101.
If you read the editorial on page 4 you'd think we were really in for a suprise,,,we were 1 magazine.
Yep im mad !

I still have faith Tom will come through. He's been an asset to the hobby for a long time. Primedia gave him a raw deal taking Muscle Car Review away. So he took it upon himself to start up and put out the biggest and best publication for muscle cars out there. The first issue is tribute to that. It's got to be tough being a one man show without tons of corporate backing. Let him get up to speed so Muscle Car Power can grow and make us all happy again. I'm patient.

[ QUOTE ]
Does anyone know wha the status of Tom's Magazine is. I just came across the receipt for the Money Order that I sent last year. I still haven't seen a magazine.

How ironic is it that the quote above was dated 1/03?????? The guy got money back in 12/02, and here we all are on 10/03 with only one issue to show for all this anticipation. I'm starting to feel screwed. Other magazines, including the one put out by his old boss Paul Zazarine are able to come out at least bimonthly. What's Shaw planning, a biannual magazine? 6 issues over 3 years? Nice guy, best of intentions, but......

There is an answer to all the die hard Chevy guys, its called Chevy Rumble. It is a bi-monthly and reports are its going to be monthly. Doug Marion has got some experience in the business, and so does John Dianna.

Subscription # is 866-515-5600, outside the USA 810-735-5600

I recieved an e-mail from Tom Shaw--he said they are laying out the second issue and copies should go out shortly. I hope they make it -- because I think their magazine would be just plain good for the hobby, if it ever gets out on a regular schedule, so here's hoping it just gets out.
