This rear is getting more work done to it than a farmer's daughter in an adult film!
![]() Tail light positioning and I'm liking the lines back here more and more. I'm going to massage a template for the edges of the rear quarter to make sure they are symmetrical. Right now, it looks pretty good. License plate relief and trunk opening are there too. I'm hoping by the end of next month the car will be filled and primed. I need to make a steel frame with rollers to position this on since the weight of this thing is more than I thought! I'm closing in on buying the donor car too! More to come.... Cheers ![]() Dave |

Headlight bucket time! In studying the whole front end, I needed to recess those headlight buckets and also extend the cap a little bit further. This added the extra lip I needed as well as the angle now being correct.
Every little step is a big move forward. This took a good day to get it right. I'm describe it more in detail once I get it fitted up. More to come! ![]() Cheers ![]() Dave |

Saw these pics on FB Dave so I thought I would share them for motivation (which is moot I guess when I'm talking to you, lol).

Windshield is in! Woohoo! Very pleased with the look and it's a quality piece. I'm in talks with a company that may make the bumpers for the car too. Right now, they do make 503 bumpers and I'd have to alter the rear to make it fit. The 507 was based off the 503 so the dimensions are quite similar.
Moving forward! ![]() Cheers ![]() Dave |

Finally back making some progress and with that, the dash arrived from Stuttgart. I believe that's where the ball bearing plant usually got bombed in Hogan's Heros, but that may be Heidelberg.
![]() This was molded off a real 507 dash so it's true to form and scale. The gauge pod needs to be fabricated (what doesn't? ![]() I removed the windshield frame and continued filling the body. Next step is to sand smooth then lay one 6oz fiberglass mat on top to hold it all together. After that, I'll use more filler to get the final body shape. Right now, I need to sure up the structure so it doesn't shift or crack when moving, and the mat will do that. But I need to cover the foam with filler since the resin will melt the foam. It's melting the foam a little since I'm not using epoxy resin. For this, the cheaper is better. ![]() More to come... Cheers Dave |
