Sweeet caps! Do you know what those ET caps came on? I've seen them before but not on any wheels.

I think they're from ET five spokes (if my fading memory serves me correctly...L-O-L) -- the chrome ones that looked like Cragars. Wayne |

Can't say I do know what kind of wheel they came on. They were loose as you see them, and no wheels around that remotely looked like something they came from. |

In my speed shop, we used to sell ET chrome five spokes as a secondary line to Cragar. At the time, they were cheaper and weren't as nice in terms of quality (today's ET wheels are a different story though...). Some guys tried putting Cragar caps on ET's, but you could always tell the difference.
Eventually, I just quit selling ET wheels altogether. Wayne |

Seemed like here in the Philly area in the late 1960's Cragar S/S was THE mag wheel to have. Anything else just wasn't seen to be a cool.
Heck, we had Hurst wheels being made here and people just thought they were ugly. Nobody seemed to want to buy, or even steal them (plenty of stories of Hurst equipment headed out the door Johnny Cash style) |
