[b] By '66 Dick Thompson had moved on from the Grand Sport to a GT 40
(Thompson is still alive in his late eighties - He was inducted into the Corvette Hall of Fame in 2000.
He won the SCCA championship in his Corvette's in classes A,B and C in '56, '57, '60, '61 & '62!
He won Watkins Glen in the Grand Sport in '63))
