First, I AM an "old timer", and, we agree that it is a shame that only some saw that it was for sale. It should have been put into "holding" as soon as the intent to sell was posted. I doubt he has been chased away from the best place to sell this car. How many times have newly discovered cars shown up here just to go price fishing? LOTS! Anyway, we just have different ways of looking at the same circumstances. There are merits to both, and, disadvantages to both. I merely thought that it was a correct move to expect the for sale rules to be followed.

He can always post a new ad and abide by the rules by stating a price. The pics he posted look like scans of a old magazine article. I hope he really has the car and that it is not a scam but no current pics throws up a red flag. Too bad he didn't inform us of his plight from the start, also a red flag. Do we care ? I think we care if we don't want members getting ripped off.

You are not in trouble. There are two different cars being discussed in this thread. I removed a thread about another car and the subject of it got drug into this thread.

Is the Vette a real Motion car? What is the story with this auction? It seems like it is the liquidation of one persons collection. Is that accurate?
