Wow it must be pick on Rich P month. I would think Rich has been involved in more high end car deals than any body else. Its not every one that can put those kind of things together. What a experience it would have been to be part of some of those deals. I believe he has made a lot of people happy both buyer and sellers.

It is nice to see that there is still a market out there for the big dollar cars. Maybe the rumors of the collector car market prices dropping is just a conspiracy created by the big dollar collectors to get the prices down so they can come back in and scoop them all up at bargain basement prices...

Just like Orange Juice and Pork Belly Futures. Hey, I saw Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd in Trading Places, I know how the market works. It's those darn Duke brothers at it again.

Hey, Rich you want to broker my photo album and broadcast sheet? Interesting trades accepted!

Hey John !! Thanks for the kind words. It's been a fun trip for me doing this when everybody said I couldn't do this job !!
Now everybody is brokering cars and have taken a lot of people(victims) for a lot of money. I have tried to specialize in selling only some of the Best pedigree cars and only pedigree cars since I have started.
Hey John, I enjoy hanging with all the guys in Chicago when I'm in town and have said that you guys are straight up.( Your pizza still S*^ks)

Steve I'm sorry I don't get involved with bargaining for buildsheets, fender tags, etc. I feel they belonged with the car when it was first sold. I see guys doing this a lot and I will stop while I'm ahead. Sorry ! I'm sure you can get a hold of him.

Im proud to say I have NO skeletons in my closet

I have tried to bring the Best in the SuperCar world to this website

For Most of you ! Have a great and safe Holiday..

Looks like the car has 2 bids now!

Rich, that extra broadacst was one I found in my bookcase where I used to store car info, 10 years after the car left. If I recall correctly the car had broadcasts located all over it: 4 or more, that went with the car to Otis. It even had a unique Assembly Line Damage Report I found under the carpet that showed the front end had been damaged somehow at the plant. There were "X"s handwritten on all the front panels in the diagram. Everything I had at the time went with the car. I hope all that stuff is still with the car since I never made any copies of anything back then.

As for photo albums. I think I am like a lot of people who keep that personal material since they also contain a lot of images of family in them. When Mr. C was considering buying the car several years ago he contacted me and I happily scanned and sent him a large number of photos of the car, gratis.

(P.S. I was joking about the brokering comment But I'd imagine you probably run across that for real, quite often in your travels)

And a Gruntled Festivus to you all
Now, lets get back to the Airing of the Grievances and then on to the Feats of Strength.

Is it me being a pessimist,or do big dollar cars like this always get listed [and always bid on at least once and not meet reserve]just to give a seller some price tag and negotiation power to boast to the real venue the car will be sold at whether it be Mecum,BJ, or a private sale. I cant remmeber the last time a big dollar car sold thru ebay or failed to get a bid....its always big $$$ bid[s] ,no reserve met. Maybe ebay should start making people have no reserve auctions like BJ does

I still cant over when someone ask for 50K + for someones short block to his car.
I have seen a LOT of HOGS in this hobbie !

Steve I know you wouldnt sell the Broadcast
I also had the privalage of putting a little tiny scratch on the bumper when I was trying to park it in a tent. Ask Charlie L: He was standing next to the pole when I tapped it.

[/ QUOTE ] If you had the shortblock to this car in your garage from when you sold the car,and the current owner wanted it,what would you sell it for since the car was being sold for more than 2,646,000 over what you sold it for ???? Do you actually know of someone that asked 50K for a shortblock to a car??If so, what kind of motor was it ??
