Last week I broadsided a doe at 25-30 mph in the middle of a snow storm. It was night time and didn't see the deer until the lights hit it. We hit about the same time. The deer appeared to keep on going, but I wasn't about to stop in the snow and get myself hit. It didn't look like much damage but the insurance bill is $3500. There was a report that there are about 1000 deer hit each year in our county alone. The deer appear to be in far more danger from cars than hunters around here.

We hit about the same time

I have had some close calls but so far so good. I work as an outside salesman in parts and count on lots of deer collisions this time of year and the body shop guys do to... We all just hope it is someone else... Cruel isn't it . By the way, that is a sharp Camaro, sorry about the damage. I was told recently that GM quit selling the front spoilers on some of those models so if anyone finds a GM dealer that still has some in stock it may be beneficial to grab all of them up. I find some dealers that throw the discontinued stuff in the dumpsters and some send it back to GM. It gets wasted either way...

There are two less deer in Ia. that won't be running into anyones cars. We'll be having deer sticks at the reunion again this year.

I've wrecked three cars here in the last 15 years from deer. All at speeds less then 30mph. They come out of the woods like a fat lady from a cannon. Fortunately we have not been hurt. I must go back to the picture pit to dig up some photos.
