My buddies and I used to pry the Fox emblems off of them back in the '70s. Still got a few in a shoebox somewhere. (I believe the statute of limitations has run out.)

No way, I never went for the MB or BMW stuff! I had a school buddy whose uncle owned a huge wrecking yard and we did go through there once (late '70s) and take emblems off of old American cars. Still got a shoebox of them stashed away somewhere.

My nieghbor just bought the R8 last week and he asked me if I wanted to drive it. I thought that since I was fresh from Rennsport III at Daytona and driving my car 200 mph on the bank that a fair performance assesment of the Audi could not be had so I declined I think they are beautiful cars but there are a ton of used 996 Porsche turbos out therefor 60K with mild tunner tricks that would stomp that R8 and you could drive them from New York to California and back again with no problems.... I would have a hard time paying that kind of money for an Audi no matter how limited the production run.
