Franchitti and Speed ran the ARCA race today to get their feet wet in plate racing. JPM did the same last year, I believe. Villenueve shouldve done the same.
No doubt he and the other open-wheelers have the talent, but plate racing isnt like anything else theyve ever seen. Get a few Truck, BGN, and/or ARCA plate races under your belt, then try it out with the Cup guys. And preferrably not in one of the Chase races. One slip-up can take out a bunch of cars, and possibly some guys running for the Championship. I would rather he start out next week, but I guess we'll see what happens. Hopefully, if he even qualifies, he'll keep his nose clean. Otherwise, it could be ugly.

Let's just hope he doesnt make a right turn into other cars because others in front of him are pitting like he did today in the truck race....
