[ QUOTE ]
I have probably pulled 50+ 660 housings from junk yard cars and pick ups. I have one on ebay right now. The number on the base seems to be 1968 and early 69. After those dates they all seem to be numbered on top. Most of the cars were full size from the Janesville plant. Earl

That is an interesting observation. I have seen and inspected several early BB 69 camaros that have the 660 on the tube and the provision for the spring. My 9B 69 BB survivor camaro is configured this way as well. My thinking was that it had something to do with different suppliers they used on any given day, week or month. I have not observed the pattern you suggest.

I havea late 69z28 11A that had the numbers on the flange. I went through the concourse certifaction, and they said that it was wrong. it should have been on the tube.I still think that the one on the flange was right.

Some interesting comments in this e-bay listing. I know this guy knows his GM bolts inside and out from earlier sales I have watched. Not sure on his housing observations.

Observation: The 660's with the number on the neck has the triangle cast with the letters ADC inside the triangle and the 660's with the numbers on the base has a diamond cast with the letter P inside located in the recessed area near small hole.

Your build date is 9B, what are the numbers under the 660 number?
Anybody has a original BigBlock Camaro with build date 2D?
