I just had to mention that a VERY nicely restored Oly Gold Green Interior (unusual) L-78 69 Camaro resides in the Seattle area....

[ QUOTE ]
"The cross-ram dual quad, JL8 four-wheel disc brake 1969 Camaro offered here is the real deal, delivered to its first owner, Eliseo Lucarelli, with the dual quad under the fiberglass hood and disc brakes on the rear axle." ????????????? ![]() [/ QUOTE ] You would be amazed at how the auction houses will butcher (edit) a properly written description of a car. When I had my Z11 up for auction a few years back, I provided the alleged "auction house" with a very specific, very accurately written description of the car and its provenance. Instead of running it as is, they had some 17 year old high school drop out who failed English grammer, edit the thing into an unrecognizeable, disjointedly dislexic tome on "cameros." When I saw the proof, I told them either post the description as I wrote it or I am pulling the car from the auction and forwarding all the future material misrepresentation lawsuits to your attorneys. (Unfortunately for me, they agreed to my demand - I should have pulled the listing. The auction was a disaster and I drove the car home from NYC at 1:00 am on a September night...) |
