Bob,
If you have any left, might I suggest you do the same with your magazines. If not a huge undertaking, bring them in sets by years and set them up for the open auction. Just a thougth. I know for one I would love to buy a bunch of your collection but do not feel right about contacting you for individual freebies.

Not a bad idea, Rick. Might have to put this together for SCR11, as I am headed to Goodguys Columbus tomorrow and have a wedding next weekend.

Anyway, don't hesitate to let me know what you (and any other sYc Members)may be looking for and I can deliver to SCR10. I keep all the requests too, so if I don't come up with it right away, I may stumble (literally) over it at a later date.

Thanks/BA

Here's another thought that I need everyones feedback on.

Since some folks may have no interest in certain brands, should we do the Silent Auction by brand? In other words, instead of one big group of 100 or more ads, would you prefer 10 or so smaller groupings, as in one for Chevy, one for Ford, one for Pontiac etc etc. Keep in mind 100% of the proceeds are for the sYc site, NOT for my own pocket!

If the majority would prefer it this way, I think that would be easy enough to do and may even be more fun.

I have dug in and can easily represent the following with no problem:

AMC
Buick
Chevy
Dodge
Ford
Mercury
Oldsmobile
Plymouth
Pontiac
Misc Non "Politically Correct"
Aftermarket and Dealer Ads

That is ten categories. Figuring 10 ads in each other than Chevy, which would be 20.

Let me know what you think and I will set it up in the way you all want.

Thanks go out to Charlie for pointing me in this direction!

Here's a few "Teasers" Captions to stir some interest:

"Luscious Linda"
"Love Me Baby"
"A Winning Pair From Moroso"
"The Judge Can be Bought"
"Chevrolet Super Performance is Nickey"
"This is Dodge Charger"
"There's Only One Great One"
"Snarl's Softly And Carries a Big Stick"
"How Much Camaro You Want Depends on How Much Driver"
"Carroll Shelby's Cobra GT"

That's it for now...we will see everyone tomorrow morning!
