What questions would you ask Grumpy, if you had the opportunity ?

I would ask him about the engine for #14. If it still exists he might know.

Grumps best block was a 67 CAN AM block. Said it was the only one that worked ok. He was not a big aluminum motor man I don't believe. His 69 camaro being a ZL-1 is a new one on me. I doubt it.

Everyone knows that the production ZL1 block was junk. Ring seal was terrible. If the Grump had one, it wasn't for long. The CAN AM block was the one to have.

You guys are great !
I know someone who might be able to ask him in the future, but don´t count on it.
I´m with Sam on this one. I don´t believe he raced a factory ZL-1 car, but rather coverted an "all iron"-car with a CAN AM-block.
That car COULD be in Sweden ! NickeySwede told me some time ago that his research made him believe that four of "Grumpy´s" cars came here in the seventies. At least one of those went through to Finland.

The VIN is hardly a secret.

If you believe you know the whereabouts of the car post the VIN. Last I heard it was in NE.

William, Are you talking about the '69 car? Always have been curious as to it's whereabouts. I've tried to talk to Jenkins about the '69 but never got much info. It's a shame he's so difficult....a lot of info will be gone forever one day.
