John, when you post info about a car on a site with 4000 plus members you have to assume that somebody might know something about the car no matter how hidden it may have been. I think everyone's questions about Motion documentation are valid & not meant to be a personal attack towards you or the car. However, since the previous owner apparently couldn't get anything from Joel and you apparently did it's normal to wonder why & how this occurred.
The one piece of info that you have alluded to(on ebay, I think)& that I could not get was that the Vette came from Baldwin Chev. This leads me to suspect that you or someone close to you was able to get the NICB on it. Had I gotten that info the Vette might well be in Ga now.
So, the big question really is 'do you hold a position in law enforcement that allows you access to the NICB?' Considering the price I was given & the ebay buy it now price of $225K there's a whole lot boot on the table. If you do not, or are not connected in any way please accept my appology for the inferrance that you may have used a position of authority for personal gain.
This information should be made available to everyone through GM so that everybody has equal footing when buying or hunting these cars. JMO

someone please send me a PM and tell me what I missed. I hope my comments were not as offensive as they may have been in the past, but I'm over that now.

Your comments were NOT at all offensive. At least I did not take them that way. Some people just take things the wrong way.

Jude
Before you post a statement on this site, you should really have all the facts on the car. The guy who listed the car in NJ was not the owner, he was the middleman. He did not pay Joel Rosen to document the car. He called Joel on the phone and did not send the money. The reason the car is not in GA right now is because you did what many others do and try to steal the car from the Seller. I drove down, offered the price he wanted and treated him with respect. The Seller even bought me dinner because he appreciated that I didn't play games with him, as others did.
Those are the facts.

It was a factory sidepipe car from the factory. However,it received the Hooker sidepipes as a performance upgrade. Also the car was a stick car.
