I've had a few inquiries as to whether I would sell the engine and car separately? I'm open to discussion on that...
If the buyer was planning on installing a Hemi then he wouldn't have a use for the 493 (unless he had other Mopars to use it in). So the final deal could be negotiated without the engine. I'm planning on installing a Hemi in this car so I don't really need the engine either... So it could be purchased outright as well. The auto trans currently bolted to the engine in the photo was a freshly rebuilt 727 that I used when this was in my AAR so it has the same mileage on it as the engine (1000+/-). It's included with the engine if so desired. The TTI E-Body headers and complete dual exhaust system could go with this engine too. Guess I'm kind of flexible on the package variations.... Also was asked about the personalized license plate on the Cuda... I'd prefer to keep it and reassign it to another one of my cars, especially if this car was going to leave the state of California. But then again, it's already assigned to this Cuda and has current registration so I might let it go with the car..... Time frame has been brought up as well. The money portion of the deal would have to be settled right away but it's safe and sound in my garages here at home and wouldn't have to be removed immediately. Plus, I figure most people would want it to be a roller anyway so some minor installation of the rear diff and front suspension could easily be done here at the least. Once again, most things are flexible. Thanks again for the emails and kind words..... Charles

Well guys, it's time once again to offer a few of my project cars for sale (different reasons this time around).
And this time they are listed for sale on Ebay. This Cuda auction is number 200127953022 and is currently listed with a $75,000.00 reserve. The car is basically the same as described above in this forum with more progress since it was last offered (Dana has been installed, gauges restored, etc.). I am also offering a 1970 Cuda 440-6 for sale as well as the 1966 Corvette roadster I described here before. Thanks for your time! Charlie

Hi Guys !!
Thanks for the kind words! I truthfully plan on sharing the "secret" car info with y'all soon but still have to hold back because the car isn't mine (yet). We are still "discussing it" and it's one of those deals that the current owner does not really want to part with it, but plans it being his retirement fund. I'm encouraging him to retire right away..... But I can toss out a couple of teasers about it (car guys can be so cruel): It's from the 60's, it's got a Chevy engine, it's a real unmolested "street legal race car" with significant history, it still sports it's original Firestone Bias plys (but they are cracking) and it's been stashed away for a long time..... Unfortunately, you'll have to be very patient. I've been working on this for many, many years and only now am I getting close to it actually happening. I first fell in love with this car well over 35 years ago..... Gotta get back to work!!! Charlie

Well guys, it’s been a couple of years since I last offered this for sale to you guys here and I feel the need to attempt to raise some money once again… Maybe someone out there actually has some extra cash left they’d wish to part with and would like this cool car in their collection? If you have some time to kill, take a gander at this listing…….
Basically it’s the same car as before (please read the old thread info for most of the pertinent details), but much closer to completion. Although not done yet, it could be purchased any where from as-is status to 100% complete, priced accordingly of course. Even though I’ve done quite a bit more work to it, and spent lots more money (close to $100K currently invested), I feel inclined to offer it for much less than before (Thank you so much current economy and stock market!)…. What say we shoot for $45K plus or minus, depending on what stage of completion you want the car to leave my house in… I realize there are many vehicles currently available at some very good prices, but perhaps this one appeals to you more than some of the others you have been checking out. If so, drop me a line or feel free to give me a call on my cell at 707-287-5041. Charlie Some current car info: I never acquired that Hemi I was looking for so I decided to install the 550HP 493 Cube Big Block that I already owned (as described in the previous write-up). Even though it had less than 1000 miles on it from when I ran it in my AAR Cuda, I decided to have my machine shop (the one that built the engine) pull the heads and give it a good checkup for the heck of it….. All was perfect of course, exactly as expected. I did repaint it a correct Hemi Orange, rather than the blue that it was originally painted. So even though the car doesn’t have a Hemi in it, it still looks like a HemiCuda and could be upgraded with a Hemi in the future in one was so inclined… I have most everything needed to complete the car and could have it running and driving fairly quickly. The interior still needs to be installed, along with the vinyl top, glass and some additional exterior trim items. The pictures should show some details as to the current status through today, although I am still tinkering on it now and then when I have the time… My pics are not the best, but should be good enough for starters. You really have to see the car in person to appreciate the quality of the paint and the “flash factor” !! P.S. that’s my son in some of the pics I’m about to post. He was quite helpful when we did the body drop over the drivetrain….
