[ QUOTE ]
Why is it people have to cut other people's cars? Yenko's did look just like a Chevelle with stripes when they were new, duh!!! Maybe because that is what they are. That is like saying your GTO looks just like a Tempest...with emblems!

[/ QUOTE ] I WAS JUST SAYING THAT IF YOUR GOING TO BUILD IT DO IT RIGHT. THEY NEVER HAD A BENCH SEAT,NO SS EMBLEMS ON DOORS,NO SS EMBLEM IN THE GRILLE AND ONLY A FEW WERE BUILT IN THAT COLOR. I ALSO THINK IF IT WERE GREEN IT WOULD LOOK THE PART MORE. IM NOT BASHING IT ITS JUST NOT A CLOSE TO A YENKO AS YOU THINK IT IS. AT 35K IT WAS TOO MUCH,AT 26K I GUESS ITS NOT BAD IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT. JMHO....I THINK IM ALLOWED TO VOICE MY OPINION.

Wrong. Many Yenko Chevelles had bench seats. I'd bet more had bench than buckets actually.

the car is not technically correct all the way around, but still a lot of fun for the money. jmo

is there room in the hobby for everyone who enjoys muscle, regardless of their favorite flavor?

Thanks Camaro Joe

It's amazing how many people proclaim "they never made....." and don't know what they are talking about.

We did a restoration on the SS396 and then ADDED Yenko emblems, and the owner WANTED the 427 emblem on the front. The car was meant to be the best of both worlds, SS 396 and a Yenko Chevelle!!! we were not going to take off all the SS emblems on the car in case whoever we sold it to wanted to turn it back to the SS configuration.

Sure would like to see your car GTO Don so everybody on the forumn could pick it apart. Are ypu up to posting it?

New reproduction bumpers fit and finish is real nice as you can see in the photos.

Car is in Gatlinburg for the show this weekend.

The rarestYenko Chevelle of all happens to be a Fathom Green, bench seat, auto on the column, an was at the Mecum auction in Chicago. It bid to @ $160000.00 and the owner didnt sell!
