I worked in a Chevrolet plant back in the late 70s and early eighties. This emblem would have probably been given away during an open house at the plant to all workers and their families on that day. I worked in a plant that made chrome bumpers and springs which was managed by Chevrolet and they gave away similar gifts once a year with the "Number 1 Team" logo or just the numeral "1". I don't think the Muncie plant was managed by Chevy but I could be wrong about that. If I had to guess it would have been the Chevrolet Gear and Axle plant which I believe was in Warren MI. Good luck with your research. Paul |
