only thing is, the dirt bags have figured out how to use there cards then after they get the item claim its junk or whatever and keep the item then have the charges get reversed, the seller gets hosed, sorry guys that do it that way but your crazy to except payment that way, unless its not very much dough...guy tried it on me a few weeks ago on a motor seemed real up and up until he insisted doing it that way, I said he could send a check or wire the dough then he stopped talking...hmmm

one thing to lok out for weather it be your credit card company or pay pal or even yenko asking for a password make sure of the url instead of paypal.com a scammer will use [email protected] or [email protected]
or [email protected] etc they include a little extra plus use the real site name hope this helps someone as my fingers are tierd now lol

Allen, the 3% Paypal fee is for credit card payment. You can tell the buyer that you accept Paypal but not from a credit card. That way they need to hook their Paypal into a bank account to fund the payment and you don't get nailed for the 3% fee. If the item is expensive enough and the buyer wants to use the credit card for Paypal I will tell them to add the 3% to cover it. As for the Postal money orders, I could send you a money order and cancel it right away to get my money back and you wouldn't know it was no good until you went to cash it. There really is no truly safe way to pay for stuff. You need to be comfortable with the person you're dealing with.

Ken and Bruce...thats what I do...they don't make it easy for you to do it either !! But I would never use my bank account..in fact it pissed me off that I even had to use it for PayPal.

dont think so Jeff...they hose me 3% any time they touch the dough and then sit on it for three days collecting interest before flipping it in the account, nice deal wish i would have dreamed it up,dont matter how it comes to me its the same every time, I am with Allen its ok for little stuff but if its a spendy item I will pass and most people get cranky when you ask for the 3%...

3% for a safe transaction whats the problem? I use pay pal and recieve pay pal with over 200k in transactions and my moneys allways good . I dont have to wait to ship and my buyer dosent have to wait to get what they bought ,I guess thats why my auctions do so well I proubally get 5% more for the same item as someone who dosent take pay pal so im 2% better off

Hmmm, I thought it was just credit card payments that you receive that they take 2.9% but it appears they take that from all transactions received. I haven't been selling anything lately so I never noticed that. I guess the credit card thing doesn't make a difference.

How do you do that? At my post office, I give them cash and they print out a money order. Unless I hand the m.o. back to them, I don't believe they are going to give me back my cash...

You fill out a form with the money order information and if it hasn't been cashed yet they will cancel it and send you back your money. Just like cancelling a cashier's or certified check. There is no truly safe way to send and receive money.
