What I found on a 69 NOR 07A M20 Z28:
![]() The third stripe was different than the first two in that it wasnt the shiny metal underneath, but there was definately a brushed orange stripe there. dave

If you have something available you could do them the way they were originally applied from the manufacturer. I have put them in a lathe with front and rear yokes removed and used a brush to apply them as the shaft was turning slowly.
