AMC...TJS44 knows his stuff with Pontiacs.His advice is probably worth heeding..maybe he will bring one of those Ponchos to Gateway InternationAL in September !!!!!!

He surely doesn't sound like he's BSing. I e-mailed my father and this is what he said:

"I appreciate the input on the brakes. Already been considered. '69 GTO's ran with power brakes and that cam. And that was with a 400, not a 428. The longer stroke will allow more vacuum. The cam specs with a solid cam are way to wild, but the hydraulic cam is a little slower in the valve off the seat area allowing a little better vacuum. Remember, this is the cam specs that Jim Taylor was running with 3:42 gears in a 4400 pound Ventura, automatic and was expecting mid 12's all day long with low compression heads. Also, 670's and Tripower seem to make a wicked combination. I expect it to put a grin on my face that won't come off 'till I go to bed."
