hey guys i took another look at the car today for clues and spotted a sticker on the drivers door that gave air pressure readings for high speeds and the tires are z-rated, and it has a 150 mph speedo i think, also it has a little sticker by the radiator that has a dealer zone code? what do you guys think the car is worth as a support vehicle compared to a festival car, i am just worried about paying too much for it. thanks for all the help, dave.

This is a picure of the 1997 Brickyard Camaro.

The Camaro in this picture would NOT be one of the ones in the group of 50 serial numbers listed above. Those were early production 1997 model year Camaros used for the 1996 Brickyard race, striped as in the pictures I posted above, which is car number 3, serial number 063. The Camaro paced the 1996 Brickyard 400 race (actually two modified 1996 Camaros with 30th Anniversary items and 1997 part-amber tail lights added). The 1997 and later races were NOT paced by a Camaro.

The car pictured here is stickered for the 1997 race and surely was of much later production than those 50 early serial numbers, being built for use a year later. The car in this picture does not include the double orange stripe or body-color wheels, and appears to be painted black in the front "grille" area where the fog lights reside (white on a 30th Ann package car). I believe there were Camaro support vehicles at each Brickyard 400 race through 2002; in some years they were SS convertibles, other years Z/28 convertibles.
