I am in the insurance racket and from the insurance company/adjuster/claims investigator side, they don't have as much comprehensive access to the NICB as they used to, due to the privacy laws, you really need somebody with DEEP access to get into the origination paperwork for old cars, unnfortunately, not as easy as it used to be.

The last guy who did my COPO has now disappeared and this request is for another car I own. Maybe while you call Berger offer some $$ in trade for your info. good luck

You are absolutely correct dealerships only keep info. for 7 to 10 years usually because of the tax man or state requirements.

Yes but I called the Chrysler Registry in Detroit and they told me the microfiche from 70 up was accidently destroyed.
