It's not so much that I mind the exposed lights but it's the boy-racer chrome and body-colored inserts that look so un-Corvette like.

It's a beautiful car. There have been non-popup headlights available for years... including the L-88 race cars and the C5-R (probably for the C4 too, but I don't pay any attention to those).

We pick up the Cavalier in Boston tomorrow, then the Vette on Saturday in Buffalo...back in LV on Tuesday.

Interesting comparison.

I work for Ford (I know,...but it pays the bills )and we have a Centennial White w/Blue stripes(a $5K option and they are about 1/4" off on the front )at our passenger car dealership.Suggested MSRP is $155,845 and invoice is $144,207.30.I believe we have this car marked at $255K and the only reason why it's here so late is because of the delays with the front suspension recalls that Ford had early on before they went in-house with the forged A-arms.

For less than 1/2 the price (MSRP for MSRP),the '06 Z06 has to be the best value on the planet and maybe best ever(?)musclecar ever made.

I can't wait to see what they come up with next!
