As the owner of a triple green '70 Chevelle, I say leave it green. If your codes are indeed 795/45 B, then your car was born with a black vinyl top.....not green.

Do you also have documetation for this car? If so, it seems to me all the stars are in alignment for leaving it original especially if you are also going to the extent of restoration that it sounds like you are. The black vinyl roof will be in your favor as well (over the green) from a resale perspective. Delete or white stripe car?
If you don't have docs I might call this a split decision.

Jim, I agree 100%. Up to this point I have had a genetic predisposition against changing the color of a car. However, in this case I may need some gene therapy.
Bill, I to am wondering of those that recommend leaving the car triple green what %age would actually consider buying a triple green car. I know I wouldn't. O, wait a minute I just did didn't I Correction on a typo, the vinyl top code is G. I must have blacked out wile I was typing it. I think if I ever decided to sell the car I would have to be on medication if I left it green. Like with the LS6 car it got to the point where I was ready to pull what hair I have left out if one more person told me "man that green really hurts the value" and that car was stunning with ivory interior and white stripes. What to do. What to do.

More and more people are starting to like Green. Just given ya poop Rick. ![]() Rick

Paint it red with a red interior and no vinyl top. White stripes.

I say keep everything else original and put a black or white interior in it. If someone wants a 100% correct car they could change the interior instead of having to redo the whole car if it was triple black.

Unfortunately, the LS6 didn't bring anywhere near that kind of money...it was green

I would think changing the color would only increase the value.
OK, here is a poll question. Be honest!!

OK, coming from the owner of a DOUBLE Black car, I have to say....... Leave It Green!
I've always leaned toward the unusual color combos...... (like a certain Gobi Biege Deuce!) No offense to the owners of Red or Blue cars but there's just too many of them. A friend of mine just bought a #'s matching '69 Z-28. It's currently Red w/ Black stripes but is an original Frost Green car. It's going back Green! Celebrate the variety in life. ![]()
