Jeff,

I hope those Hoagies were from Gaetano's. Boy since I move down here those are one of the things I miss the most.

You have guts!!! I have always doubted if Ronnie Sox could drive my Yenko on a few beers. I personallly have a 1 beer limit on my 60 mph burnouts as I tourch the tires all the way through 3rd gear and 1/2 of 4th!

Thinking about that area and growing up there, I just remember all those races on Barton Landing Road. Now it's all houses insteed of the once farm land.

KEEP IT STRAIGHT AND IN THE MIDDLE and (hold those RPM's down)
Good to here from you again.
Keith

I was out in my blown Z and pulled 2 gear and it went boom!! It never hit the rev limiter, it blew a head gasket on the right side. It did put down 200 foot of rubber though!

I may not be Ronnie Sox, but I still would not let him have a few cold ones and romp on my car even if I only have 8 plugs. Great pictures!

Let's keep alcohol fueled dragster's on the track, not on the street.
And hey! Let's be careful out there.

Now......a 7800 r shift AIN"T my normal practice on the street...thanks for all the advise. I know the engine can handle it with the Valve train that it has, BUT, a donation The Connecting Rod God or any other Valvetrain God is one I don't want to make! As for the cam as some have asked, it has .617 lift in. & exh w/110 C/L. The duration is 317 int. and 252 exh. It's a roller. One part that I trust is the Jesel rockers and the Solid Front T.C. cover from Comp Cams; no cam walk.
Now.....as for being "achohol charged"........Thanks again...BUT I had 2 and would never drink and drive! As for understanding the geometry of a Big Block and REALLY having the desire to go fast......I can and have...like 170mph in 8.2...I've only went up the road once in this! Now...THAT WAS INTENSE just cruising and rattling the throttle a bit just for kicks! The local police who I know told me NEVER to do it again...Dang! See Attached!

Bill, yea.....UR right. The cam is dialed in for 3000-7200. But, I tell you, at 6800 in 3rd (T400) the damn thing had my head pinned to the headrest and was still pulling!!!
Luv those cubic inches!
