No it is not my car. I have an option to see and buy this car. I won't be able to see it for a few weeks. If beautifully restored, numbers matching L78 Novas are "selling" for 30k, where can I buy one. Doesn't make sense if the same set-up in a 69 camaro can bring well over 50k. Some even higher. Patrick

I've seen this car in person and it looks very nice. Paint is excellent. Resto work still in process. I will post photos and info for the owner when it is complete. Thanks.

Don't forget to look for the swaybar, or at least the hanger brackets that are welded to the underside above the rearend. If it's an SS, they should be there.

[/ QUOTE ] I was wondering where you got the info that all 1970 SS Novas came with a rear sway bar?

Rear sway bar was part of the F41 suspension option on the 70 Nova. The sway bar didn't show up until late winter early spring of 70. Designs were done in late fall 69 for the part but to my knowledge it didn't come out until spring. I believe all the Deuces have it. I have discussed this with Greg Roberts on several occasion and this is the info we have. Other Nova experts may have exact dates or documented cars for reference.

I have documented the same dates and events Tom, as all of the 175 deuces have the F41 package. The design and ecn dates are listed right on the drawings, and support the early spring intro date. The F41 was an option, and therefore was not automatically installed on all SS Novas. However, like Schoneye said, check for the rear brackets - if they are there, then that would be a very strong indicator that the car is an SS, because the F41 was listed as only being available on the SS models. To our knowledge, Yenko's copo Novas were the only non-SS Novas to receive the F41 package.

Does this mean an early build 1970 SS (9/69-11/69) would not have the brackets?
