Pro tree with .5 light. Yes, I hauled a little over 1500 mi. each way, in addition to me, Wayne Smothers came up from the Tulsa area and I think he pulled 1500 mi. each way also. If you ever thought Okies were a little strange, this should confirm it; Apparently on the way through New York City, Wayne decided to take an auto tour of the Big Apple, this would not be a big deal, except for the fact that he was towing that brand new 69' Super Bee on an open trailer around Times Square on Friday afternoon before the race.

Okies, go figure.

I wouldn't try anything like that in Detroit. In fact, I'm not sure you could even make it across Detroit in one piece in a Hummer. Sherman tank, maybe.

Rob:

That pic of the two vettes just has to be on the cover of some magazine. That's awesome.

Pete:

So what's JJ going to build next? I know he was really anxious for this meet. He called me a full week early when he got his dates mixed up and was all loaded up and waiting for me.

I see that SuperBees are going 12.08 at 113 now days. What gives? I wonder when the powers that be will step in and say enough is enough? Pure Stockers at 12.08 and the FAST guys can't even get them to go that fast! This may be the beginning of the end to anything close to the real deal! I'm waiting for even some of the MOPAR guys to scream foul but I may be holding my breath for a long time.
