"Charley hasn't asked about it so I guess he must not like the '70 Deuces. I can't bear to give it away but I can sure give you a ride in the old "Detroit Iron"......
I missed this thread till now.....Can I have it ?...Actually it is so cool that you still have it , it would be a shame to see it go anywhere else. Frank says he can spank you at the track though...... ![]() |

I don't know about that race. We haven't heard from Frank on such a challenge. Maybe it would be like the old wild west gunfights where the sun is shining so bright off the new paint job that I could dazzle all challengers with the bright light in their eyes.
![]() Actually I think Frank and Marlin had quite a go at it during the last SCR. I am not so sure that we could do any better that that. ![]() ![]() |

It's great to hear from everyone. Many thanks for the comments on my car. It took a long time to get it done and I sure got disgusted more than once during the resto.
Pete, as to your question about info on the numbers, I would post a request here on the board for Marlin or anyone who might be able to help. I only have a few references and they are really ones that are specific to the '70 Deuces. Another good source is also a book that is available from the major book sellers like Barnes and Noble, it is called "Chevrolet by the Numbers" and it has almost everything that you can imagine for a part description and the matching GM number. I hope this can be of some help to you for your resto work. Alan '70 Deuce '57 Bel Air Sp Cpe |
