L37 Z16 396s did not have lift brackets. This is documented in several period photos.

What about big blocks with Aluminum heads? I will be installing a set of 842 L89 heads on my L78 Camaro and my brackets are presently Orange.

I just picked up a 1969 Nova bb 396 aluminum high rise 163
and the intake also has on it orange colored distributor hold down with the original bolt its orange too. This intake was taken off the 69 a few years after the car was purchased new then left in the garage untill I bought it.The car was long gone ![]() Peter |
