[ QUOTE ]
Motion didn't offer the Hone unit until early '70 [/ QUOTE ] The November 1969 issue of Hi-Performance CARS details the installation of the Hone overdrive into a '69 Motion Camaro. Given the magazine lead times, it was probably done sometime in the Summer of 69. My '69 BM Camaro got one, but mine is a very late '69 car (10E build). |

Well I'll tell ya
---I know the unit wasn't offered as of 7/69 because I would have gotten it instead of crusing the sreets with 456's and I was told there would be an Overdrive unit available later in the year--And to be honest, after the summer of '69 the unit went on the back burner Until I saw it offered by Motion in a mag early '70 ( Jan/Feb )---so given the time lag of putting the mag together-Motion could have been official offering units to the public by advertisement late '69 (Nov/Dec) ----So COPO your Camaro could have come with it late '69--Paperwork might be a little more reliable than my memory, but I'll stick with this version for now ![]() |

Here's a couple of old catalogs--They were both from Motion---- First is the one I picked up before I had my unit put in--You can see the phrase --Hone-o-Drive-used in the earlier catalog--In the '72 you see the phrase Hone overdrive--No big deal just some info--Tomatoes/Tamotoes
