I have some pictures of this place and if I remember correctly there is a Suburu pickup parked on the side with the Yenko crest on the door.

Did that particular Subaru dealer later turn into the current Honda dealer?

Yenko Honda is farther out Rt. 19 South, away from the City of Pittsburgh. On the same road as the old Subaru location, just 10-15 miles apart. Yenko Honda is just a few miles from what is now "Sun Chevrolet" Yenko's old McMurray Chevrolet location, which was built to replace the outdated Canonsburg dealership in '72.

The current Yenko Honda dealership has never been a Chevy dealership. I have some pics of the contruction of the Mcmurray dealership that was erected in 1972 that I will post later if anyone is interested. JoeC, I'd like to see a pic of this Subaru truck witht he Yenko logo... i don't have any pics of it in my collection... is it a Yenko Brat?

Its a Yenko Brat with a bra
here are some pics from a box of photos that I think were Frank Yenkos pictures from over the many years he ran the dealership. In the 1940s they sold cars and GE appliances Frank was into antique cars as there are photos of him with a group of cars from 1920s. Frank had a 20s Chevy with a Yenko licence plate frame. There are also pictures of "Yenko" Firetrucks, garabage trucks etc that I guess were trucks purchased through Yenko's |
