It was very nice putting a face to so many of you who frequent this board. The SCR really is a "family reunion" of sorts. Pantera, it was especially nice meeting you and speaking with you about your Motion prepped Corvettes. I've been searching for those vintage Detroit auto show pics for the last 2 days and have come up empty. I know they were posted here a year or so ago, there were pics of Joel and the Baldwin-Motion display, with several of the fantastic five on display. I can remember seeing the big block engine displayed on a stand in the background, because I believe it may have been wearing a set of SS427 badged valve covers I had on display at the SCR7. If anyone remembers the title of that thread or can find it using the search feature myself and Pantera would greatly appreciate you posting a link to it here. I know they're archived here somewhere.

We're close...I remember there was at least one shot where you could see a display engine on a stand in the background, with what looked like SS427 finned valve covers. Find any others?

No I am at a deadend on these pic. I need the help of anyone that has some different ones of that day way back when.
In fact I don't even know where or when it was held.

Seriously.. I was just thinking.. I don't know about the rest of you but I sure would enjoy seeing a few Mr. Norm Mopars at SCR8. [/ QUOTE ] How about more "Royal Ponitacs"??? Ace Wilson was the first Dealership to put out, what we have now come to love as "Supercars"! Maybe a "Super Duty Catalina" or 2? Any supercar from the musclecar spectrum would be great to see. The sky is the limit! Imagine at the dragstrip, you'd have; Royal Pontiacs vs. Yenkos AND Mr. Norm's vs. Dicky Harrell's AND Motions vs. Tasca Fords. This would be the ultimate "Supercar Shootout" and display!!! How about it, TOM???
