Back in the early eighties I was at the Summer Carlisle swap meet looking for a car and remember trying to purchase a silver 1969 Judge RA IV 4 speed. It was a POCI National champion. That car was gorgeous and the owner was asking $10,000 at the time. I had $8,000 cash and I think he might have been considering it but I looked very young for my age and I think he thought I was going to beat his car.
Nevertheless, I wound up buying a 1970 Z28 but still wish I had that Goat instead. I often wonder what happened to the Judge.

[ QUOTE ]
The last I heard there were over 450 GTOs in overall attendance.

[/ QUOTE ]

The final number was about 540 registrations, but that included vendors and people who did not bring cars. The number of GTO's there was approximately 332. Our club photographer was able to shoot 328 of them Pretty good considering he only missed about 4

LOL!

Nope...he took the elevator

Actually, there was a time that his car was in an indoor display (for the Detroit Auto Show) and he had to take his car in an elevator!

I had a coupla photos of Billy and Reet with the car, but I didn't post it because Reet doesn't seem to have any actual pix of her or Billy up here, (save for that tiny thumbnail). Lemme just say they're a cute couple!

I took 105 diggees and about fifty 35mm shots at the show. I wish I had more panoramic shots!

Anyway, I got the Hawaian GTO shirt from Rita too... and a GTO hat.
