The same thing happened to me. I posted that I was looking for parts on Team Camaro and this guy contacted me. Sent me photos, told me of the quality of his parts and even had his own website. When I finally got the parts (2 bumpers and misc.) I thought were a good deal, they were crap! I ended up using them, but they're barely presentable even on my kid's daily driver. In fact I even ended up ordering a repo front bumper from Ricks because the one I bought used, although straight, would need to be rechromed. (It looks like both bumpers got too close to someone who was sandblasting.)
I didn't try getting restitution and the guy stopped replying to my e-mails the day I received my parts. I'm treating it as a lesson learned, but I'm curious if it my be the same guy. ![]()

Al takes abuse of the TC classifides very serious. I strongly advise anyone having a run in with a seller there to contact him.
It's a bit different using the TC "Wanteds" and listing that you are looking for something. There's no control over who sees and contacts you. As the buyer you need to be extra careful. It can be a great tool if you keep your guard up. |

IMO any time an item is returned, both parties should handle the shipping. That's the way I've always handled it. I bought something that wasn't as described so he refunded my money and I paid to ship it back. I sold a cam I thought was new in the tube, but turned out to be used(I never opened it since it looked like it was still sealed) so I returned his money and he paid to ship it back.

Follow up..End of story....I sent the wheels back. Seller refunded price of wheels and cost of shipping them to me. I called him and explained my position that I did not think it was right for me to pay 105 to look at a set of bad wheels. He stated I wasn't buying new parts. I agreed with him, they were not new, but I also wasn't told they were hacked up. Long story short, he did agree to refund 50 bucks of my return shipping. That is better than nothing. Also, like some have said, I am lucky I didn't have to eat the whole deal. Thanks for listening....Tony
