THANKS PETE it's been a long day---

pxtx,
Nice find---That setup was really meant for a well geared stick set-up for track use, one can learn to live with it on the street, but before you start modifying your 950--you might find some of the lesser solutions to tuning the 950 might work for your car if it is going to be used mostly on the street------Joe

I took my 3 barrel off and pitched it in the Arkansas river... (not really)

I never used so much gas as with that 3 barrel setup on the street. I actually think I went faster and could drive it on the street so much easier with a double pumper, than the three barrel. On the dragstrip it ran good but was a POS on the street. It would stumble and bog it you got into the secondary at to low of RPM.

There was no one fix solution to getting the 950 to run properly --mine actually performed very well after several adjustments and initially running 456 gears on the street, but it did use FUEL and unless I was putting this back on a Motion or other dealer car that originally had it ---a 780/850 would be easier to live with.----Joe

thanks for all the imput guys ! I built my car to run in the F.A.S.T series. i made 3 passes in the car and realized that my motor was just to mild so out it came and did a ton of work to it. i talked to a guy who sets up chassis for the A/stock stick camaros. hes gunna get my chassis working right for me. the plan is to get everything done and working for the sept 3rd race at the supercar reunion.
modified production. i think the double pumpers will be illegal for the class as they must appear stock and a 4346 is a vaccum secondary. thats why i was wondering about the 3 barrels. i'll let you know how things work out. i guess i'll just have to try a few diffrent carbs...
thanks! steve

Steve, see if you can find a 3418 Holley carb. It's a 855 cfm vacuum sec. carb off a 67 Vette. Looks sorta like a 4346 if you don't look to close......
