H is HD 3 speed Muncie Trans (RPO M11 I think)
0 is 1970 M is August 026 is the 26th. Remember, every other plant except Norwood was making parts for the 1970 model year by the end of August, so it's not surprising to find assembly number reflecting the 70 model year in Late Camaros, including engines stamp with 3 letter assembly codes. |

How about TO312CTX..... w/ 101545114 also stamped near it, 3969854 on back looks like a large P underit, GM w/ 8 under (above)#; both on drivers side , passenger side back of motor is C 6 70.

C 6 70 Block was cast on March 6th 1970
T0312 CTX Tonowanda built 1970 396/350HP with manual transmission assembled March 12th 1970 from either a Camaro or Chevelle. Last number seems to be a VIN derivative. 1=GM 0=1970 1=Wentzville 545114 Sequential VIN number So I would think this is a Chevelle Engine. |

1=Oshawa Ontario Canada Plant
545114 is a VIN# for a 1970 Chevelle SS with a L34 4speed. It was built at the Oshawa Canada plant in March 1970. |
